The journey begins with the PADI Divemaster course, where you will hone your leadership abilities and learn to effectively supervise dive activities and assist PADI Instructors. This involves in-depth study of dive theory, advanced rescue techniques, and practical application in diverse diving environments. Following the Divemaster certification, the next crucial step is the Instructor Development Course (IDC), meticulously crafted to prepare candidates for teaching PADI courses. The IDC at Tauchschule Linek is strategically scheduled over three weekends in August and September, offering a flexible format for individuals who cannot commit to extended full-time study. This intensive program focuses on developing effective teaching methodologies, presentation skills, and a thorough understanding of the PADI educational system. To enroll, candidates must meet minimum age requirements, hold Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver certifications (or equivalents), and possess a current First Aid certification including CPR. A medical statement confirming fitness to dive is also mandatory. Participants will complete the necessary pool training and open water dives at their dive base on Glienicker See. The course culminates in globally recognized Open Water Diver certification, provided by PADI and SSI. This course is particularly well-suited for individuals who are already comfortable in the water or have prior experience, such as a "Schnuppertauchen" (Try Dive). The self-study component, accessible via an app or computer, allows for efficient learning of theoretical concepts. Pool sessions are conducted in shallow water, ensuring a controlled environment for mastering fundamental skills before progressing to the deeper sections of Glienicker See for the certification dives. Instructors provide dedicated guidance throughout the program. Upon successful completion, you will be certified as an Open Water Diver, opening up opportunities for global exploration. The course fee of 629 EUR includes digital learning materials and digital certification. While most scuba equipment is provided by Tauchzentrale, participants are required to supply their own mask, snorkel, fins, and boots. Rental options for these personal items are available at the dive center. The practical training takes place at the dive center's location on Glienicker See. This specific training site allows for a progression from controlled pool environments to open water conditions, mirroring typical dive site scenarios.
